Meet Dr. Julie and Her Team

Staying on the cutting edge of technology is very important to Dr. Julie and her team. They travel extensively to learn from the best and the brightest in our industry, exceeding 200 hours annually. Dr. Swayne has completed Continuums at the L.D. Pankey Institute of Advanced Dental Education and has completed Course Series at the Dawson Center for Advanced Training. Through advanced training and experience, we can shift through the maze of latest techniques and materials to accomplish predictable, long lasting results.

Dr. Julianne Swayne is not only known for her thoroughness and quality care, but her kind demeanor and ability to make even the most frightened patient feel at ease – and she takes pride in this ability.

Dr. Julie graduated with honors at the Ohio State University in 1995. While there, she conducted dental implant research resulting in an achievement award from The International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Julie started her own practice in downtown Loveland in 1996. She is also an active member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, and Cincinnati Dental Association. She has organized and led the local Give Kids A Smile Program, a national ADA sponsored event donating dental services to under-served children.

A Cincinnati native, Dr. Swayne and her husband, Chuck, have two school-aged daughters. Along with sharing her time and passion between her practice and family, she also enjoys traveling, playing piano, golfing and gardening.

Pam is the office manager and has been with Dr. Swayne since 1999. With over 18 years experience in dental practice, Pam helps our patients with scheduling, filing insurance and assisting with any other needs. “I truly enjoy working as a team and helping our patients.” she notes.

Kim, one of our dental hygienists, is a 1980 graduate of Ohio State University with a BS in Education and Dental Hygiene Certification. With over 27 years of experience as a clinical hygienist in a general practice, Kim has been with Dr. Swayne since February 2005. “Educating my patients to get them involved in their oral care is a satisfying success for me. Dr. Julie’s office is all about teamwork; between both our team and the patients.”

Joan has been a dental hygienist since 1976 and has been with Dr. Swayne since 2000 after moving from Toledo, Ohio. She is also a contractor at Procter & Gamble carrying out oral care research on developing dental products. “It is very fulfilling to work in the community in which I live and I enjoy getting to know our patients and their families.” she comments.

Jean has been our dental and laboratory assistant since 2004. Her first priority is comforting patients during treatment. “I thoroughly enjoy working with Dr. Swayne. We have a great team,” Jean remarks. “I see Dr. Swayne as an artist and the quality of her care is outstanding. I say this not only as a team member, but as a patient as well! Continuing education is at the top of her list which enables us to try new and improved materials and techniques.”
